WHAT PEOPLE SAY
SHIRLEY, USA
It is a welcome retreat from most of the concrete hostels you find around the cities in Ecuador. There are hammocks to relax in and we felt really at home.
They offer a lot of different tours, and we went rafting which was a blast.

Very nice hostal, huts are surrounded by a nice garden, feels a bit like in the jungle. The breakfast is very good with fresh fruits and juice. We can highly recommend the rainforest hike. It was one of the best hostals we stayed in Ecuador.

Honestly a really great hostel to easily experience the Amazon with only a weekend or a few days. Hostal Pakay gives you the feeling of solitude but you can easily walk to the bus station and restaurants in town. They run a ton of different trips from hiking to rafting to caving to visiting indigenous communities, you will not run out of things to do. Would definitely return the next time I'm in Ecuador
