Hostal Pakay
It is our mission to provide the most authentic Jungle experience while creating global awareness of issues our Amazon Jungle faces. We are committed to our responsibility as stewards of the environment. Pakay's guesthouse and tours honor our goal of environmental sustainability.
In 2011 Hostal Pakay was established on the outskirts of Tena, Ecuador. We are located only about a 15 minute walk outside of town. Our location outside of town allows us to provide a peaceful retreat in our lush green jungle garden. On our property we also grow food that is incorporated in our daily breakfast. You can discover the plant diversity of the Amazon right here at our guesthouse.
Our facilities reflect our goals of sustainability. Pakay's guesthouse is constructed using sustainable and recycled materials such as bamboo and recycled metals. We use a compost system to dispose of our organic wastes. All bathroom facilities utilize composting toilets. These toilets allow us to conserve water while providing natural fertilizers for our jungle garden. We also use a natural system of plants to treat all of the waste water at Hostal Pakay. We are constantly looking for ways to improve our conservation efforts.
We are proud to invite you to Hostal Pakay, winner of the Trip Advisor's 'Travelers' Choice Award' in 2016, 2019 and 2020
